The 62-year-old actress and singer introduced Hudson at the Women’s Cancer Research Fund’s Unforgettable Evening Benefit Gala on Thursday night where Hudson was being honored.
Wilson revealed Hudson, 39, would frequently come to her house as a young girl when she had a crush on her son, Colin.
The actress sighed and lamented, “No little Kate Hudson babies for me. Just … Sorry, Danny [Fujikawa, Hudon’s boyfriend]. Kind of Danny and Colin kind of look alike. Just wanna say that.”

“Well frankly, if anybody’s going to trust that Kate Hudson is the biggest, amazing, most wonderful hearted beautiful person in the world, then I mean who doesn’t believe I’m Kate. Thankfully, I’ve never met such a misguided individual, except maybe my son Colin,” Wilson said, slightly ribbing the actor.
While Colin and theAlmost Famousactress did not end up together, the two are good friends and in relationships with their respective partners.
The 41-year-old actor married publicist Samantha Bryan in 2010. The couple shares daughter Olivia Jane, 8, and daughter Charlotte, 5.
Hudson gave birth to her third child, daughterRani Rose, in October alongside boyfriend Fujikawa. She also has sonsRyder Robinson, 15, andBingham Hawn Bellamy, 7, from previous relationships.

The actress and Fujikawa, a musician, were both in attendance at the gala on Thursday where they admitted toEntertainment Tonighton the red carpet that they didn’t have big plans afterward.
“I was the one that was like, ‘We might go out after this,’ and he’s like, ‘I’m already tired, babe,'” Hudson said.
“We have a newborn at home,” Fujikawa, 32. “That takes a lot of the energy.”
Hudson added, “We’reexhausted, so we probably won’tbe going out.”
“She’s gonna pump on the way to this bar, apparently,” Fujikawa joked about Hudson’s afterparty plans, to which she added, “I just pump. That’s all I do. I pump, I come to nights like this every once in a whileand then I pump again.”
