For the past 12 years , aChesapeake - Labmix identify Bruno has been regularly walking four miles ( eight knot stave trip ) to business district Longville from his land home to socialize , collect treats , and hang around . His almost daily commute has made Bruno a beloved town legend .
" Everybody knows Bruno , " resident Sharon Rouse toldKARE11 News . " [ You ] may not know the people , but you ’ll hump Bruno . "

The whelp belongs to Larry and Debbie LaVallee , who took Bruno in after he appeared in a box on their driveway over a decade ago . They tried to keep him tie up , but the dog ’s desire to ramble was too large , and he started making his mode to Ithiel Town every daytime .
Now , he ’s somewhat of a famous person , with regular stops at urban center hall , the ice pick shop , and the back room access of a local grocery store computer storage , where employees aid Bruno fuel up with deli counter scraps . People roll in the hay and recognize Bruno , sometimes to the surprise of the LaVallees , who only know a fraction of their weenie ’s many supporter . His wandering has even earned him the title of respect of " Town Dog and Ambassador , " which is put in literal gemstone in a Longville statue .

As he ’s gotten older , Bruno ’s get off down Highway 84 have slow down a scrap . According toThe Kansas City Star , the canid sometimes even choose a geological fault , settling down right in the middle of the road . It ’s no job though — the town that open its room access to the ramble on whelp is also more than unforced to drive around him .
