To call Helen Mirren prolific would be an understatement . She ’s work in basically every spiritualist ever make , explored almost every exclusive genre of storytelling imaginable , and won almost every acting prize there is . However , with her new movie Winchester , Mirren is really doing something new : A scarey moving picture . Just do n’t call it a repulsion film .
“ I do n’t categorize this as a repulsion film , ” Mirren told io9 in Los Angeles earlier this week . “ I categorize it as a ghost story . I recall there ’s a real dispute between the two . And I opine ghost stories have had a long and rather imposing history in filmmaking . ”
The picture is base on the truthful story of Sarah Winchester , widow of William Winchester , who ran the Winchester reiterate Arms Company . After her husband ’s death , Sarah became the bulk loss leader of the gun company and commence making additions onto her mansion in San Jose , California in uncanny , unaccountable ways .
