We ’ve all heard of Joby ’s famed Gorillapods , the tough , highly flexible clod socket tripods that fit everything from dSLRs to PSPs . The Gorillatorch takes this same canonic theme and pops on attractive feature feet and a bright lead head .
The Price
$ 30
The Verdict
It ’s handy , even if we ’d like to see the damage drop by $ 10 .
Taking the Gorillatorch out of the box , my contiguous reaction was that it was a bit smaller than I ’d expected . Especially compared to their dSLR tripod , depict here , it ’s a little guy rope .
But the small size of it is n’t needs a forged thing . couple with bright light production ( that will blind you head - on ) and ft that will stick by steadfastly to metal surfaces ( seriously , if you rick the lighting , the legs flex while the feet stayed glued ) , it ’s incredibly multifunctional . you could wrap or stick the torch almost anywhere you postulate some surplus twinkle .

I also loved the six - gunslinger style AA battery compartment .
Of of course , this is an light-emitting diode light . And that have in mind it ’s more of a limelight than a warmly diffused bulb . Reading requires creative position to annul the overexposed meat . fortunately , the LED is on a dimmer , so you may tweak the production middling sharply .
My biggest qualm is the price . For $ 30 , I ’d favor the LED to be removable so the tripod could be used to hold a photographic camera as well . But if you ’ve got a good caper , then sure , the Gorillatorch will scratch that consumer itch . [ Gorillatorch ]
