Well , this did n’t take long : Google ’s mayo on pledge dead ringer of Facebook is already catching heat for seclusion problems . Nothing as flagrant as Buzzgate , but Google+ seems to be allowingunfettered sharingof your stuff with anyone . Not good !
Google+ has Circles , a sorta - neat , simplified “ Groups ” system , wherein you have to explicitly assort your crony into various societal spheres . Then , whatever you share from your account statement has to be explicitly beamed to one or more of these Circles . So that manner , nobody can see your pithy thoughts or photos beyond those you want . Right ? Not quite .
The Financial Times ’ Tim Bradshaw explicate how the “ resharing ” feature of Google+ negates this considerate privacy feature entirely :

Say a close friend of mine posts a icon of her minor to her “ friends ” Circle . With the “ share ” choice on every Google+ post , I can reshare this with absolutely anyone , from another Circle to which my friend does not belong to , right through to ca-ca it wholly public . The same loophole go for not just to pic but to any form of post , as far as I can tell .
If she ’d known about this risk ( and how would she ? ) , my ally could have disabled resharing using the drop - down card on the right - hand side of every station , but it does n’t seem to be potential to do this before she ’d already put out it . Google+ also , for now , miss any way to turn off resharing of all your posts from within its privacy mise en scene .
This does n’t sound like a feature anyone would require enabled by default , and slap of Google ’s allow ’s just assume citizenry are fine with their shit drift all over the place mindset from Buzz . And we all sleep with how that twist out . [ Financial Times ]
