There ’s only a few weeks left until the solar occultation can be seen all across America . Everyone in the US should see at least a partial eclipse , while those in its path will get a spectacular view as the moon incite completely in front of the Sun .
We ’re somewhat delirious about it , and it seem we ’re not the only ones . Google has free a trend single-valued function of people searching for the lunar eclipse , showing that interest has been climb up steady as we steer towards it on August 21 .
So far , this is as expected .

However , Google also released a mathematical function of where these search are come from , and it ’s fascinating to see that it pretty much billet up exactly with the short letter of totality .
The similarity become even more patent if you take to view it on a city horizontal surface , which you could do in the interactive movement map from Google above .
The colored blue patch of the mapping show where the most searches come from , while the lighter shades show where fewer searches were made .

It makes sense that hoi polloi who live in the states where the total occultation will be most visible are most interested in it . masses in Oregon , for instance , have been responsible for for the most number of hunting in the past seven daylight . They will be the first nation to see the occultation , and it ’s nice to see that Oregonians are the most delirious about it , resulting in a portion more searches for " eclipse " and occultation - relate term ( e.g. " how to view the eclipse " ) .
The eclipse , for those of you who have n’t Googled it already , will take place on August 21 .
The total eclipse will be viewable first on the Oregon coast at 10:15 am PT , and will then be viewable across the nation , ending in South Carolina at around 3 promethium ET .
