“He do exactly what she tell him to do. He not being a man in that position,” he said last Friday in a Beats 1 Radio interview. “You not tellin’ her, ‘Bro, chill out with that on the internet. Don’t even talk to him. I’m your husband! You better not even bring Future’s name up!'”
Future went on to explain that when he was dating the“Level Up”singer, 33, things were much different.
“If that was me, she couldn’t even bring his name up. She’d know that,” he said. “She couldn’t even bring her exes’ names up. Don’t give that s— no energy. It’s about me. I’m taking care of everything.”
The mask remained off on his show when Future decided to stick to the topic of choice and discuss JAY-Z’s infamous bar from his song “Kill Jay Z” off his album4:44, which took a swing at the “Jumpman” rapper when referencing Wilson spending time with his step-son, Future. “I don’t even know what you woulda done, in the future other n—s playing football with your son,” JAY-Z rapped on the song.
“When I talked to him, [JAY-Z said], ‘I didn’t mean to say that … I didn’t mean it like that.’ I was just like, ‘You supposed to be biggin’ up the rap community. You need to let the NFL deal with the NFL. You supposed to be biggin’ up me. We come from the trenches. I come from the streets. You come from the streets. You supposed to be biggin’ me up. You not supposed to be giving that no negative attention for a hot line,'” Future recalled about his conversation with JAY-Z after the song’s release.
“It is what it is,” he added. “I ain’t even tripping off [Jay]. I’m trying to get where I’m going and ain’t nobody gonna stop me. Whatever’s going on — the talking, the captions, the memes — it can’t stop me cause it’s a vision that I have and it’s goals that I have set out for myself that I gotta get done no matter what.”
Wilson posted an Instagram of his own, showing Future Zahir and Sienna Princess cuddling. “All that matters. #Love,” the NFL player captioned the image.
After ending her engagement with Future, Ciara begandatingWilson in 2015. The pairofficially tied the knotthe following summer and continue to parent Future Zahir together, in addition to their 19-month-old daughterSienna Princess.
Despite what Future thinks about their relationship, it seems the past two years have beenincredibly blissfulfor Ciara and Wilson — and they’re looking forward to making it even better.
The Grammy award-winning singer recently opened up about her desire totake her marriagewith the NFL quarterback tonew heights.
“Russ and I always like to have the conversations and reflect on our years in general, whether it’s what we’ve done individually, but also together and how we can keep on leveling up our love,” the singertold PEOPLE exclusivelywhile gearing up to host and perform on the West Coast telecast ofDick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2019. “We’re definitely going to chat about those ideas.”
Though the pair’s love has never had an off-season, they continue to search for “the best rhythm” when it comes to maintaining their romance whilejuggling parenthoodamid their hectic schedules.
“I can definitely say more date nights,” she added. “That’s the one thing that we’ve been working on because we always have a tradition of date nights on Fridays since that falls in perfect place for his schedule when he’s in season.”
“We’ve been able to add some more date nights in the mix and that’s been really fun, so I think in 2019 we’re gonna level up the date nights and add some more to the mix as much as we can, especially with our schedules always moving,” the mom-of-two said.
But even when Ciara is busy working and Wilson is tied up on the field, the singer has nothing to fear because Future is there to “make [Sienna] happyand love her!”
“He’s so loving,” Ciara says about Future being the greatest big brother to Sienna. “When they FaceTime each other, both of them smile in ways that I’ve never seen when we make them smile.”
“He’ll say, ‘Sit in my lap SiSi mama,’ and he likes to try to help with the bottles,” she added. “He’s just there! He gets so frustrated if he makes her mad or if she’s feisty.”
