Dane DiLiegrohad fun stepping out for an NBA game withOlivia Wilde.
At the Los Angeles premiere for Netflix’s new basketball comedy seriesRunning Pointon Thursday, Feb. 13, DiLiegro, a former professional basketball player turned actor, told PEOPLE he and Wilde, 40, had “a great night” when theysat courtsidefor the Los Angeles Lakers' Jan. 23 game against the Boston Celtics.
“I was there supporting the Celtics,” DiLiegro, a Massachusetts native, says. “Obviously, they lost which was sad. But I am a LeBron [James] fan, so I’m happy to see that he’s doing well and everything’s good.”
A source close toDon’t Worry Darlingdirector Wilde told PEOPLE following her January outing with DiLiegro time that she is “dating and having fun,” though she’s “not looking for anything serious.”

As for DiLiegro’s Valentine’s Day plans, the athlete-turned-actor says he plans to cook “probably lots of pasta” at home.

DiLiegro costars with Kate Hudson, Brenda Song and Drew Tarver, among others, inRunning Point, Netflix’s new comedy series in which Hudson, 45, portrays a woman who takes over her family’s business as the president of a fictional basketball team, the L.A. Waves. DiLiegro tells PEOPLE he is the “only professional basketball player who is in the main cast of the show.”

“It was great for me because I spent 20 years playing competitive basketball, it’s a kind of switch coming to acting and now I’m in this show, which is an amalgamation of both,” DiLiegro, who previously appeared in movies likeImaginaryandWerewolves, adds. “Being on a set, which is a basketball court, I was getting crazy flashes of my past life and my new life. And also my friend Kelly who plays for the Pelicans, he just got traded to the Pelicans, he’s also in the show so good to be with him and it was really exciting for me.”
Running Pointdebuts on Netflix Feb. 27.
