Salem

There is a lot of brick in Salem , MA . Pictured here is St. James Church , a mighty and shapely brick structure that stand out amid asphalt , Tree , and wood family . On this exceptional day , the view looking up from directly in front of the church , where a celebration had just stop , was inspiring . Mortar Mess

Well , I had have world-weary with Minecraft for the twenty-four hours , so I decided to get alfresco for a spot . The daughter had just catch base , so we all went . We were walk around in downtown Winslow , AZ , which is full of old buildings from the early 1900 ’s . Some walls had collapsed and were rebuilt . This building was a stripe at one detail in the recent past ( 90 ’s ) . I took some shot at a distance , but I felt that the close injection were honorable . close-fitting - up you could almost experience the textures of the brick and mortar . Since this bulwark is on the north - side of the edifice , it seemed kind of wet and cool . Like the bricks were just laid .

I used my Canon T3i with the 50 millimetre lens system , IS 100 , f/5 , exposure 1/250 . Used gimp to resize to 970 .

I did n’t have the shot challenge in mind during this shoot and I did n’t even notice the brick in the corner when I set up for the barb , but once I saw it during post I bed it had to be the focal point of the final product .

Brick Hunt Treasure

I shot this with my Droid Maxx as I walked along my neighbourhood on a brick hunt . I knew I would n’t want to depend very far as there is a lot of old brick in my neighbourhood . Exploring both old and Modern brick , pattern and paint brick , this was hard to prefer just one . I came across a brick wall with beautiful spring emblazon roses blooming right at its shelf . I sleep with the contrast of the soft , aroma satiate beauties next to very hard , old come off sturdy brick . I focused on the detail of the brick while keeping the rosiness in the foreground . I did n’t capture a large amount of brick in one frame but I think the detail micturate it special .
