Archaeologists in Turkey have unearthed an ornately cut up 2,800 - yr - old elephant tusk in what may have once been an Iron Age " center of power . "

The artifact was found in a soil layer from an Iron Age settlement, which sat on top of the Bronze Age Hittite city of Hattusa.
